Fullen Gaels Dinner Dance 2016

Our Annual Dinner Dance takes place Saturday April 23rd to celebrate and give recognition to the achievements of both the Hurler's and the Camog's respective seasons last year. 

It will be held in St. Marys Social Club, Levenshulme for the second year running, after such an enjoyable night last year. There will be a four course meal as well as award presentations, raffle prizes, and music by Parcel O'Rogues. Tickets cost £30 or £25 for students. Fullen Gaels AGM 2016

Fullen Gaels annual general meeting was held January 22nd 2016. Chairperson James O'Shaughnessy led proceedings for the second year in his role and started by expressing his gratitude to all members for their continued support and attendance. 
The secretary's report was delivered which surmised the highlights of the 2015 season, paying special thanks to R&M Developments, The Shamrock and Dropkick Murphys who supported the club throughout the year.
Conall O'Meascaigh delivered his managers report which detailed the highlights of the camogie team's season and upcoming changes to the 2016 structure of league/championship.  

Next up, treasurer, Reamonn McEntee provided us with a reflection on the clubs financial year.  Benny Dillon along with the fundraising committee members were thanked for their tireless efforts in organising events and raising club funds.

The Annual General Meeting of Fullen Gaels G.A.A. Club was held  Sunday 8th March 2015.
Chairperson James O'Shaughnessy started proceedings and firstly thanked members for their attendance. He then went on to pay tribute to the hard work and effort put in by everyone at the club during the 2014 season. In the outgoing secretary's absence he delivered the secretary's report which outlined the highlights of the year.

Next up treasurer Reamonn McEntee gave us the treasurer's report for the year. The club is in a good position due to the successful I'm a hurler and Dinner Dance fundraisers. Benny Dillon and Denis O'Dwyer were praised for their continued fundraising throughout the year. As well as paying gratitude to all our sponsors who supported the club throughout 2014.

The club would like to thank all the outgoing committee members for the great work they have done this year and would like to wish the new committee all the best for the upcoming season.

Our annual Dinner Dance will take place this year on Saturday 11th April 2015 . This Dinner Dance will celebrate the continued success of the hurling team in reaching the All-Ireland Junior Hurling Club final and a successful competitive season for our camogie team.

All roads lead to Croke Park Sunday 15th February 2015

All roads lead to Croke Park on Sunday when our courageous hurlers line out in the AIB Junior All Ireland Club Final, where they will face Bennettsbridge of Kilkenny @ 2pm.
All the months of hard work and training have been leading up to this big day. The Club would like to wish all the players and management the very best of luck for Sunday.  

Fullen Gaels march onto semi final

After defeating Waterford's Modeligo in the quarter final last Saturday, Fullen Gaels hurlers are now in the AIB All-Ireland Club Junior Hurling Championship Semi-Final where they will face Castleblayney of Monaghan. Modeligo had previously comfortably beaten Cork Champions Castlemartyr in the Munster Junior Championship. On a windy day in Birmingham, in a stern encounter Fullen Gaels came out on top with a scoreline of 2-06 to 0-10. With goals in either half from Vincent Morrissey this ensured Fullen Gaels progress to the semi-final.
The semi-final is scheduled for Sunday 25th January at Parnells Gaa Grounds, Coolock, Dublin 5 with a throw in time of 1pm. Please come along to support the team if you can. 

All Ireland Junior Club Hurling Quarter Final 10th January 2015

Please come along and show your support for the Players & Management in their quest for All-Ireland glory on the 10th January 2015 when they take on Munster Champions Modeligo in the All Ireland Junior Club Hurling Quarter Final. Fullen Gaels Hurling & Camogie Club would appreciate the support of anybody in a position to travel to the game in Pairc Na hEireann at 1.30pm.

Congratulations to Fullen Gaels hurling team who won the All-Britain Junior Hurling Championship final on Sunday 16th November against Cu Chullainns in Páirc na hÉireann with a scoreline of 1-15 to 0-02.
Fullen Gaels lead from the start to bring home a fifth consecutive All-Britain junior title. Fullen Gaels will now compete in the All-Ireland quarter-final against the winners of the Munster JHC, which is to be decided between Castlemartyr of Cork and Modeligo of Waterford on December 7th.

September Update 2014

Congratulations to the Fullen Gaels hurling team on beating Liverpool’s Wolfe Tones to win the Lancashire County Final, played at Hough End on Saturday 13th September. The next hurling match will be in Páirc na hÉireann, Birmingham on the 5th October, where Fullen Gaels will take on Cu Chulainns in the All Britain Championship.

In the meantime the girls are travelling to Greenford, London this weekend, Saturday 27th September where they will face Croydon in the Senior Camogie Championship Semi-final. Please encourage any friends or family nearby to come along for support.

So hopefully we will have something to celebrate by the time our second fundraiser of the year comes around on Saturday 11th October .............. I’M A HURLER, Get Me Out Of Here!! Based on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here; it’s bound to be a great do!! Tickets are now available from club players and members; £5 or £7 on the night. Please promote this event to friends and family as all support is much needed and appreciated.
